On Friday, Elon Musk, the Tesla Boss, was in Japan, provoking social media belief in the intention of his first visit to the nation since 2014.
The billionaire said on platform X (formerly Twitter) said “Just arrived in amazing Japan.”
The CEO of Space X and Tesla visited Japan in 2014 for a ceremony marking his electric car-manufacturing firm’s full-scale access into the nation’s market.
During his visit, Musk met with Shinzo Abe Japanese then-prime minister, who was gunned down last year.
Japanese car manufacturers are noticed by reviewers as having dropped behind in the race to produce electric vehicles.
Musk also posted videos on Friday of what seemed to be an exhibition by the famous Japanese art collective teamLab, which is known for merging projections, sound, and carefully designed spaces.
Multiple users comments on the X platform (formerly Twitter) asking why Elon Musk was in Japan, with some guessing that he had come to see musician Grimes
In May, the billionaire tycoon visited China, meeting the country’s officials and stating he would grow his business in China for electric vehicles.
