On Tuesday, North Korea’s Air Koryo flies to Beijing Capital Airport morning, according to the Flight Master, it would be the first flight from North Korea since the COVID-19 pandemic started.

JS151, the passenger flight from North Korea to China, arrived at 9:17 a.m. (0117 GMT), briefly ahead of its planned time. It wasn’t instantly clear who was on the flight.

Beijing had approved Pyongyang’s Air Koryo to continue flights to China since 2020 after they halted amid Pandemic limitations, amid indications of a raised connection between North Korea and its neighbor and biggest trading associate, the foreign ministry of China said on Monday.

The Civil Aviation Administration of China didn’t instantly respond to a bid for comment on Air Koryo flights to China and when Chinese state carrier Air China may continue flying its North Korea-China paths.

On Friday, Air Koryo also planned flights to Vladivostok, which would be its first flight to Russia since the pandemic.
