In an interview published Wednesday evening, Tucker Carlson, the former host of Fox News, questioned Donald Trump, the former President of the United States, if he’s concerned someone is going to attempt to have him killed.
An interview was aired on X (formerly known as Twitter).
In a 45-minute interview clip posted on X, Donald Trump was asked by Carlson, who stays under Secret Service security and is the recent front-runner for the GOP nomination for president, if he’s nervous for his protection.
The former Fox News host told Trump that it all began with protests against him and then it advanced to impeachment twice and now accusation. Then he asked, Are you tense that they’re going to try and kill you? Why wouldn’t they try and kill you? Honestly.
The former US President replied that they’re savage animals; they’re people that are sick.
Trump ignored the discussion in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and opted rather to interview with Tucker Carlson, a former Fox News talk show host.
Trump decided to interview with Carlson, instead of attending the debate, which is expected to be published in full at the exact time as Fox News is broadcasting the first GOP debate in Milwaukee.
Trump has mentioned his large lead in most GOP prior polls and a “hostile” connection with Fox as causes for his neglecting the event.
