Russia destroys Ukrainian military boats carrying troops in the Black Sea

On Monday, Russia said that it had destroyed four military boats of Ukraine in the Black Sea which carried Kyiv troops.

The Russian defense ministry said on Telegram that naval aviation aircraft of the Black Sea Fleet eliminated 4 ‘Willard Sea Force’ US-built fast-moving military boats with landing groups of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Without giving any other details, the Russian ministry added that the vessels were “traveling in the direction of Cape Tarkhankut on the Crimean coast”.

In a similar episode on August 30, Moscow said its forces destroyed four Ukraine’s military ships holding up to 50 troopers in the Black Sea.

Earlier on Monday morning, the ministry said it had repulsed an independent Ukrainian invasion over the Black Sea.

The ministry wrote on Telegram that Ukraine’s pilotless aerial vehicles (UAVs) were destroyed in the air over the Black Sea near the Crimean Peninsula.

Crimea was last targeted on Saturday when Moscow destroyed three Ukraine’s naval unmanned aerial vehicles that targeted the bridge linking the peninsula to Russia’s mainland.

Crimea, annexed by Russia in 2014, has been attacked several times by Ukraine throughout Moscow’s Ukraine offensive but has recently come under more harsh, advanced episodes.

Ukraine has often said it seeks to bring back Crimea.

On August 24, Kyiv said it flew its flag on Crimea, in a representational success during a “special operation” to mark its second wartime Independence Day.
