In a clip posted to the WWE’s official account on X (formerly known as Twitter), the two wrestling champions amazed fans by facing off during WWE SmackDown on Friday night at Ball Arena in Denver.
The backstage clip starts with ESPN sports analyst Pat McAfee ending up a chat with Johnson.
When the two were done shaking hands, McAfee indicated out of the camera frame behind Johnson, telling him, “Hey, there’s a guy, he can’t see you,” referring to Cena’s well-known wrestling catchphrase, “You can’t see me.”
The camera then pans over to disclose Cena standing quietly behind Johnson, staring straight ahead with his hands behind his back. As the crowd bursts, a non-smiling Johnson welcomes his former rival.
Straight-faced and displaying no emotion, the two men face off, but they’re not able to control their patient posture before both break into grins.
