YouTube has suspended Russell Brand from earning any money through his channel for ‘violating our Creator Responsibility policy’. Brand makes about five videos a week for his 6 million subscribers, making him an estimated more than $ 1 million a year.
The Sunday Times and Channel 4’s Dispatches reported on Saturday allegations of abusive and predatory conduct including rape, sexual assault, and emotional misuse said to have been committed by the presenter between 2006 and 2013.
Brand denies the allegations and urges all his connections have been consensual. In a statement on Monday, the Met Police said they had received an allegation of sexual assault in 2003.
The disgrace has already noticed Channel 4 pulled all programs related to the Brand on its website, including episodes of The Great British Bake Off and Big Brother’s Big Mouth in which the comedian was featured.
Netflix has now been suggested to withdraw his comedy special, Re:Birth, from its catalog.
