Katy Perry, the American singer, has broken her silence went to her social media and posted for the first time since her ex-husband Russell Brand was accused of sex assault and rape.
Brand has been accused of sexual assault, rape, and emotional abuse by four women who said the alleged incidents occurred at the peak of his fame, between 2006 and 2013.
While Perry has stayed quiet on the allegations, she posted her first post on Instagram and X, formerly known as Twitter, on Tuesday since the claims came to be revealed.
Avoiding any comment from her ex-husband Brand, the songwriter shared pictures of her new line of cowboy boots, including a photo of herself posing on a scooter.Â
The caption read as ‘Scootin n bootin’, as she maintained a distinguished quietness on the matter, after previously disclosing she knew ‘the truth’ about Brand.
Katy was caught in public for the first time since the allegations were disclosed on Sunday in Los Angeles.
She was seen behind the wheel of her Porsche, with her fiancé Orlando Bloom seen heading to the gym earlier in the day.
Perry formerly hinted at ‘keeping his truth’ which she would keep closed in her safe ‘for a rainy day’ during a 2013 interview with Vogue which has recently reappeared.
It is the first time that Perry has been seen amid the fierce allegations made against Brand in current days.
