Travis Kelce jersey are now in high demand after the Super Bowl winner has been seen along with Taylor Swift, Fanatics, the NFL’s e-commerce partner, said on Monday.
A Fanatics spokesperson reported, “Yesterday, Travis Kelce was one of the top 5 selling NFL players and saw a nearly 400% spike in sales throughout the Fanatics network of sites, including NFLShop.com.”
TMZ first reported the boost in sales of Kelce’s jersey.
The major increase came less than 24 hours after Swift was spotted attending the Kansas City Chiefs star’s match against the Chicago Bears on Sunday. Rumors of them dating have been stirring for weeks but once the “Shake It Off” singer was spotted cheering on Kelce, the tight end’s No. 87 jersey became a demanding commodity.
Taylor Swift appeared on national television during the match as she cheered from a private suite at Arrowhead Stadium. During the match, she was spotted laughing with Kelce’s mother, Donna Kelce.
In a social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, the NFL tweeted, “In her RED era,” with a clip of the two enjoying themselves as they watched him on the field.
Both sported the team’s color which happens to be the title of the 2012 album Swift, Red.
It turned out to be a pleasing night for Swift to see Kelce in action, as he scored an amazing touchdown during the match.
With only seven minutes left in the third quarter, Kelce caught the ball in the back of the end zone, setting his team up 41-0 over the Bears. After his touchdown, Swift was caught jumping up and down in the suite.
On Thursday’s podcast, host Pat McAfee questioned Kelce if he wanted to “expand upon” the rumors that he and Swift are dating, which is “being gossiped about by the world right now.”
Though he wouldn’t confirm at the moment whether he and Swift had met in person, he did share that he “threw the ball in her court.”
“I’ve watched you rock the stage at Arrowhead,” he told McAfee. “You might have to come watch me rock the stage at Arrowhead and see which one’s a little more lit.”
In July, Kelce said on his brother Jason Kelce’s podcast that he attempted but failed to give Swift a friendship bracelet with his number on it at her Eras Tour concerts.
But Swift and Kelce’s relationship status has been a mystery.
Jason Kelce said on September 20 in an interview on the WIP Morning Show, “I think they’re doing great and I think it’s all 100% true, and I hope this thing goes a mile — no, I’m joking, I don’t know what’s happening.”
