Bad Bunny, the renowned Puerto Rican singer, has shared his thoughts on an AI-generated track replicating his voice in “Vete.” The singer, who is known for his candidness, used his WhatsApp channel to communicate his feelings to fans, and they subsequently shared his messages on social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter).

In his messages, Bad Bunny expressed his thoughts on differentiating between people he connects with and those he doesn’t. He also addressed the popularity of a “s—ty song” that had gone viral on TikTok and expressed his frustration, suggesting that those who like it should leave his fan group and implying they don’t deserve to be his friends.

The 29-year-old “Monaco” singer emphasized that his most recent album, “Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va A Pasar Mañana,” was created with the intention of weeding out insincere fans, saying, “This is exactly why I made the new album, to get rid of people like this.” He even hinted that such fans might not be welcome at his future tours.

The controversial AI-generated track, titled “Demo #5: Nostalgia,” was created using FlowGPT and has garnered over 700,000 streams on Spotify. It features replicated voices of other artists like Daddy Yankee and Justin Bieber, and it had become viral on TikTok.

This incident highlights the debate surrounding the use of AI in music. While some artists have embraced AI technology for its creative potential, others, like Bad Bunny, have concerns about the impact of AI on music and the music industry.

In the case of Bad Bunny, he has made his stance clear on AI-generated music, showing that he values authenticity and does not appreciate songs that lack artistic depth. The incident also underscores the evolving relationship between artists, technology, and their fan base, as musicians grapple with the implications of AI-generated music and its impact on their work and fan interactions.
