Timothée Chalamet Radiates Confidence Ahead of SNL Hosting Debut

In anticipation of his hosting debut on Saturday Night Live (SNL) this weekend, Timothée Chalamet exudes confidence in a newly released promotional clip. The actor gracefully navigates the SNL studio, seemingly unaffected by the whirlwind of chaos surrounding him.

Scheduled to host the November 11th episode of SNL, Chalamet, known for his role in Wonka, will take center stage alongside musical guest Boygenius.

The promotional footage captures Chalamet’s ceremonial approach to the iconic Studio 8H stage, fully embracing the rich traditions of the renowned show. Observing from behind a window, cast members Mikey Day and Sarah Sherman express dismay as the structure appears to undergo fumigation.

In a lighthearted exchange, Day questions, “Why is he in the studio while it’s being fumigated?” and warns Chalamet, “You’re breathing in poison!” Unperturbed, Chalamet responds with calm assurance, “It’s fine. I grew up in New York. I’m immune,” proceeding to inhale deeply.

The Oscar-nominated actor, set to feature in the upcoming film Wonka and the highly anticipated release of Dune: Part Two in the spring, showcases his versatility and readiness to take on the SNL stage.

As SNL continues its 49th season post the writers’ strike, the star-studded lineup includes Jason Momoa from Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, hosting on November 18 with musical guest Tate McRae. The show’s most recent episode, featuring host Nate Bargatze, aired on October 28 and included a sketch humorously addressing SAG-AFTRA’s Halloween costume regulations amid an ongoing actors’ strike.
