Jacob Elordi, famed for his role in “Priscilla,” recently disclosed in an interview that he turned down the opportunity to audition for the role of Superman in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU) film “Superman: Legacy.” The 26-year-old actor, featured on the cover of GQ’s Men Of The Year issue, provided insights into his decision and his general stance on superhero movies.

At a towering height of 6.5 feet, Elordi revealed, “Well, they asked me to read for Superman. I immediately declined, saying, ‘No thank you,'” attributing his refusal to the perceived darkness of the role. While he didn’t completely rule out future involvement in superhero films, he emphasized that, at present, he has no plans for such projects, expressing a preference for creating content aligned with his viewing preferences.

Elordi acknowledged the unpredictability of the industry, remarking, “Anything can happen,” in response to the potential reconsideration of superhero roles. He playfully mentioned adhering to his manager’s advice of providing open-ended answers.

Expressing a current lack of interest in superhero films, Elordi stated, “I do not have any plans to get featured in a superhero movie as of now. I like to make what I would watch,” noting that these movies tend to make him feel restless.

The actor also shared his enthusiasm for portraying Elvis Presley in his upcoming project, “Priscilla,” describing it as a distinct and exhilarating venture.
