A spokesperson for the music society addressed the matter, stating, “We are taking this matter very seriously and we are in the process of evaluating it with the time and care that it deserves.” However, it was clarified that the reevaluation pertains only to Diddy’s invitation and not his Grammy nomination.

Diddy’s recent setbacks include the loss of approximately 18 investors for his E-commerce site, Empower Global, and his resignation as the chair of Revolt TV, the music network he founded in 2013.
Amid growing consequences for the alleged offenses, women’s rights advocacy group UltraViolet is applying pressure on the academy. They urge not only a reconsideration of Diddy’s invitation but also the cancellation of both his nomination and attendance. Director Elisa Batista conveyed powerful sentiments, declaring, “The music and entertainment industries deserve condemnation for facilitating individuals who misuse their wealth and influence to commit sexual abuse against young women and girls. We firmly stand with and support survivors. Period.”
