As the year 2023 comes to a close, WWE fans will have a reality check after the recent video message of John Cena posted by WWE. The official handle shared a video from the global superstar, John Cena who thanked the WWE fans ‘for making his 2023.’
In the video, Cena also talked about him not having much time left in the WWE as his pro-wrestling career in the WWE comes to its final stages. He said,” I do not know how much time in the WWE I have left, but I do know in recent times when I have been able to return home, you have always welcomed me as one of your own.
The superstar has been an integral part of the WWE since he made his debut back in June 2002. Since then he has been the face of the organization for around 17 years where he has had multiple stints as a World Champion and went on to grow in popularity among the fans.
Since 2019, the superstar has been off the regular and rigorous schedule of the WWE calendar and has taken a part-time role in the roster where he made appearances on several occasions.
His latest appearance was during Crown Jewel, the pay-per-view that was held in Saudi Arabia where he lost to Solo Sikoa.
He now is part of the Hollywood film industry where he has been part of some notable movies like ‘F9’ of the Fast and Furious film series and has also had wide acclaim for his role in the show ‘Peacemaker,’ where he played the anti-hero from the DC Comics universe.
Many fans would have hoped that the superstar would come back to the WWE once again but time seems to have caught up to the legend as fans remain uncertain as to when the WWE Universe can once again see John Cena in action.
