Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, faces fresh challenges at the onset of the year as his name emerges in recently unsealed court documents related to the Epstein case, outlining a series of troubling allegations against him. Already stripped of military titles and royal patronages in 2022, the disgraced royal’s involvement in previously redacted sections of a past lawsuit is now exposed.
These court documents were originally part of a defamation lawsuit initiated by Virginia Roberts Giuffre, an accuser of Epstein, against Ghislaine Maxwell, the convicted pedophile’s accomplice, in 2015. Despite the lawsuit being settled out of court, the unsealed deposition offers a comprehensive view of around 170 individuals associated with Epstein, encompassing friends, business associates, and victims.
Giuffre accuses Prince Andrew, King Charles’ younger brother, of raping her three times at different locations when she was 17. The unsealed records also include a deposition from another Epstein accuser, Johanna Sjoberg, who alleges Andrew groped her during a group photo.
Adding to the gravity of the situation, a different victim details instances where she was “forced to have sexual relations with [Prince Andrew] when she was a minor in three separate geographical locations.” These revelations intensify the existing challenges faced by Prince Andrew, contributing to the ongoing public scrutiny surrounding his association with Jeffrey Epstein and the mounting allegations brought forth by various accusers.
