Mcdonald’s with no people around to take your order or anyone to prepare your food, Strange Right but not anymore because McDonald’s opened their first-ever automated outlet in Texas’s Fort Worth and it has since created a buzz on social media.
The McD outlet that opened recently in Texas has no employees, from machines handling orders to robots bringing food, the facility is almost entirely automated. It is designed as a ‘grab and go’ facility with no arrangements to dine inside it.
As per the reports, CEO Chris Kempczinski said “We will evaluate roles and staffing levels in parts of the organization and there will be difficult discussions and decisions ahead. Certain initiatives will be de-prioritized or stopped altogether. This will help us move faster as an organization, while reducing our global costs and freeing up resources to invest in our growth”, and also he hinted in early January to lay off employees in April 2023. Now, the Fast food chain has opened an automated outlet in the United States.
A video of this restaurant with no workers was posted on Twitter by Now This News. The clip shows how once you walk in, there’s no one at the counter, and you have to order whatever you want on a screen.
However, The McD outlet with no employees sparked the “Robot taking human jobs” debate. While some people liked it, some said machines cannot replace real people.
