Former US President Donald Trump was the victim of a new social media theory on Wednesday as a viral picture of him indicates the symptoms of Syphilis. After he stepped out of the courthouse following a hearing in the E Jean Carroll trial, people spotted blisters and red sores on his hands.
Several users on X, a platform formerly known as Twitter, speculated that the Republican presidential candidate might have syphilis.
Well, he doesn’t. TMZ cited people from Trump’s campaign to report that they believe he sustained paper cuts and accidentally spread the blood around his hand.
The viral photo of Trump was clicked when he raised his hand while leaving the Carroll defamation trial on Wednesday in New York. A doctor – Joshua Zeichner, who is an associate professor of dermatology at the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City told Business Insider that Trump most likely had a rash – which could be caused by ‘almost anything’.
“Rashes on the hands can be caused by a variety of factors, ranging from infections to inflammatory conditions to external exposures,” Zeichner told the media outlet. He further shared four possibilities for the rashes – His hands are too dry, Blisters from playing golf, He got lime juice on his hands, and ‘almost anything’.
Donald is however yet to react to the social media speculations.
“Malaria Trump knows that deranged Grandpa RICO Don has syphilis!,” a user on X joked.
“Seriously, what’s wrong with Trump’s palm and fingers? Herpes, shingles, syphilis … or something else?” another one added.
