Jason Kelce performed a celebratory extreme stunt days after announcing his retirement from the league after 13 seasons, The US Sun reported.
The Philadelphia Eagles’s 36-year-old legend celebrated his new-found freedom by performing a daring fire trick, leaping through a burning table in a stunt filmed for the podcast New Heights, which he co-hosts with brother and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
Earlier this week, the brothers wept during Jason’s emotional press conference where he bid farewell to his football career.
However, the famous sibling duo was back Tuesday to film a daredevil trick ahead of a new episode of New Heights.
In the video, which has gone viral on the internet, Jason is seen wearing a mask and flame-resistant overalls as he jumps onto a firetruck.
“All right, here we go. I’m Jason Kelce. Welcome to New Heights,” he exclaimed, before throwing himself into the flames.
Former National Football League (NFL) star center landed in the middle of the table and broke it in half, as Travis, laughed in the background.
“Jason’s retirement is off to a hot start … literally,” the post’s caption read.
“Nooo he didn’t do that?!” gasped another on X, formerly Twitter.
“Jason Kelce no matter what is a DAWG,” wrote a third.
Jason’s wife, Kylie, revealed that he had considered retiring from the NFL for the past four years, and she was the only person to read Jason’s speech before he went public.
“I’ve heard multiple versions over the last four years,” Kylie told NBC News.
“This was a completely different version. I think every year he sort of started from scratch as to what was sitting on the surface. But when he said that he was contemplating retirement for years, he meant for years.”
