Prince Harry and Meghan Markle denied royal expert’s claims about them refusing King Charles an expensive gift for their son Prince Archie.
Speaking to The Mirror, royal expert Tom Quinn recently claimed the 75-year-old monarch offered to gift the eldest son of the Sussexes, who turned five last week, worth around £18,000.
However, the Montecito couple refused to take the gift over claiming the Suits alum wants to “associate his birthday with all things American”.
He told the outlet:
Charles also suggested that he give Archie a playhouse not a plastic child’s playhouse, but a superb hand-made shepherd’s hut, complete with bunks and bookshelves.
“He would love to give Archie something similar but knows that Meghan and Harry are against it,” Quinn explained.
Meghan wants Archie to associate his birthday with all things American because Archie is already constantly asking about his royal family in the UK.
According to OK! magazine, sources close to Harry and Meghan denied that such an incident happened on Archie’s birthday.
