Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are demonstrating their commitment to co-parenting amid their ongoing divorce. Despite the challenges, the estranged couple remains dedicated to prioritizing their children, according to a source close to the situation.
The source emphasized, “The children continue to be a top priority for both Jennifer and Ben.”
Lopez, renowned for her popular track “On the Floor,” shares 16-year-old twins Max and Emme with her former husband, Marc Anthony. Affleck, 52, is the father of three children—Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12—from his previous marriage to Jennifer Garner.
Both Lopez and Affleck have been actively engaged with their blended families even as they navigate their separation. A close associate of Lopez revealed that she “worked very hard to make the relationship work and is deeply saddened by the outcome of their efforts.”
Lopez filed for divorce on August 20, coinciding with the second anniversary of their Southern wedding ceremony. The couple initially married in Las Vegas and formalized their union legally in July 2022, following an engagement in April 2022. In her divorce filing, Lopez noted their separation date as April 26, 2024.
