Prince William recently offered a charming peek into his family life with Kate Middleton, revealing an adorable detail about their bedtime routine. During a recent appearance with host Louise Harland, William mentioned that their dog, Orla, a favorite companion of the family, often curls up on the bed with him and Kate.
Louise shared the conversation with Hits Radio Cornwall, saying, “William told me their little dog sleeps on the bed with him and Kate at night. He was so taken with my own dog, even asking about the breed, as he’d never encountered a Cockerjack before—a unique mix that definitely caught his attention.”
The Prince of Wales’s candid comments didn’t stop there. While visiting Woodgate Valley Urban Farm, William spent time with various animals and took a moment to share a humorous story about his own pets. In a relaxed chat with farm staff, he mentioned the family guinea pigs, playfully admitting they’re not quite as calm as the farm’s animals.
“These guinea pigs are great,” he observed. “We have some at home, but they’re definitely not like these! I’m often the one left cleaning their cage since the kids tend to forget. Ours are always running around—they need constant handling to stay calm, unlike these ones here.”
William’s open remarks offered a rare look into his home life with Kate and their children, revealing just how much he embraces the small, everyday tasks of family life, even when it involves cleaning up after a few energetic guinea pigs.
