Snoop Dogg has revealed the incredible surprise he had in store for his daughter, Cori Broadus, with a wedding gift that left fans stunned. Appearing with Cori on The Jennifer Hudson Show on Tuesday, the 53-year-old rapper shared the details of the “most over-the-top gift” he’s ever given his daughter, which has yet to be opened due to a delay in her wedding.
Snoop explained that Cori hasn’t had the chance to open her lavish present yet, as her wedding was postponed due to a medical emergency earlier this year. “The truth is, she never got to open it, or she hasn’t opened it yet,” he told the audience before revealing the extravagant surprise: a generous one million dollars for her wedding.
The crowd reacted with applause, and Cori, 25, could be seen smiling as she confirmed, “That’s right, that’s right!”
Host Jennifer Hudson, 43, joked, “What do you ask for after that? Oh, my goodness!”
Snoop also shared his humorous take on how he would approach wedding planning, commenting that if it were up to him, he would have kept the costs much lower. “If it was me, my wedding would have been $100,000, and $900,000 would have gone in my pocket,” he said, prompting laughter from the audience and Hudson.
The rapper’s comments about Cori’s wedding gift come after the young woman suffered a severe stroke earlier this year, causing a delay in her wedding. Cori and her fiancé, Wayne Duece, got engaged in November 2022. The couple will be sharing the behind-the-scenes details of their wedding journey in the upcoming E! docuseries Snoop’s Fatherhood: Cori and Wayne’s Story, which will premiere on December 5.
With the new show, viewers will get an inside look at the couple’s journey as they prepare for their wedding, supported by Snoop’s loving and humorous presence throughout the process.
