The Prince and Princess of Wales, Prince William and Kate Middleton, extended a warm royal welcome to the Amir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and his wife, Sheikha Jawaher bint Hamad bin Suhaim Al Thani, during their visit to the United Kingdom on Tuesday.

The royal couple were the first members of the British Royal Family to greet the Qatari royals early in the day. Kate Middleton looked stunning in a burgundy coat designed by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen, paired elegantly with a matching hat, radiating her signature grace and style.

The ceremonial welcome took place at Horse Guards Parade, where the Prince and Princess accompanied their guests. King Charles III later joined the event, arriving in a carriage from Buckingham Palace to participate in the formalities.

Queen Camilla, who is still recovering from the effects of a chest infection, opted to sit out the outdoor event due to the cold weather.

As King Charles arrived at the ceremony, the British National Anthem, God Save The King, was played. Following royal protocol, Princess Kate curtsied to the King upon stepping onto the platform before joining the official greeting line.

The ceremony featured the playing of the respective national anthems of the United Kingdom and Qatar. King Charles led the Amir to the center of the pavilion, where they were joined by William and Kate for the remainder of the event.

After the formal proceedings, the royal party, accompanied by the Qatari guests, returned to Buckingham Palace in a regal carriage procession.

Later in the day, Queen Camilla was expected to join King Charles, Prince William, Princess Kate, and the Qatari royals for a private luncheon at the palace, where gifts would be exchanged, marking the conclusion of the ceremonial visit.

This engagement highlights the enduring diplomatic ties between the United Kingdom and Qatar, with the British Royal Family playing a pivotal role in fostering goodwill and strengthening relations.
