Taylor Swift distributed a staggering $197 million in bonuses to her Eras Tour team over the past two years. The bonuses, on top of regular salaries, benefited thousands of workers, including truck drivers, caterers, dancers, and technical staff, PEOPLE confirms.
The unprecedented payouts reflect the success of the record-breaking Eras Tour, which wrapped on Dec. 8, 2024, at Vancouver’s BC Place Stadium.
The tour, spanning 149 shows since March 2023, sold over 10 million tickets, grossing more than $2 billion in total sales — double the revenue of any concert tour in history.
During her final performance, Swift, 34, expressed heartfelt gratitude to her global fanbase and the tour’s massive crew. “We have toured the entire world,” she told the audience. “It has been the most exciting, powerful, electrifying, intense, and challenging thing I’ve ever done in my entire life.”
Before concluding with the fan-favorite song “Karma,” Swift acknowledged her crew’s dedication. “This has been the most thrilling chapter of my life to date,” she shared.
Swift’s 2024 achievements extend beyond the stage. Her Eras Tour Book became the year’s top publishing launch, selling 814,000 copies in two days.
She was named the most-streamed artist of the year across Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music, with her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department, earning the title of the top-streamed album.
As she looks ahead to 2025, Swift is a leading contender at the Grammy Awards, with six nominations, including Album of the Year.
