Rapper Yella Beezy has been arrested in Texas and charged with capital murder in connection to the 2020 shooting death of fellow rapper Mo3, TMZ reports.
Authorities in the Dallas area took Yella Beezy into custody on Thursday, where he remains in jail. Court documents obtained by TMZ allege that he “intentionally and knowingly” caused the death of Melvin Noble, known as Mo3, on November 11, 2020.

The documents further claim that Yella Beezy hired a man named Kewon White to carry out the murder, which occurred on a Texas interstate. Mo3 was shot and killed in broad daylight while attempting to flee on foot.

At this time, Yella Beezy’s legal team has not issued a statement regarding the charges.
The case remains under investigation, and further details are expected to emerge.
