Prince Harry has reportedly made a final decision regarding his return to the UK ahead of his security case hearing in April. The Duke of Sussex remains locked in a legal battle with the UK government after his security protection was downgraded following his 2020 departure from the royal family.

Ongoing Legal Battle Over Security

After stepping back from his royal duties, Prince Harry lost the full taxpayer-funded security he once received. Concerned for his safety, he has been fighting for the right to personally fund police protection when visiting the UK. However, the Home Office denied his request, sparking an ongoing court battle.

Fears Over Safety and Public Sentiment

According to Express, former royal butler Grant Harrold suggested that Prince Harry is hesitant to return due to safety concerns and his strained relationship with the British public.

Speaking on behalf of Techreport.com, Harrold said, “I think Harry’s biggest concern about returning is anyone trying to attack him or his family because there is a love-hate relationship between him and the British public.”

He added, “He will be worried about that relationship. There is always a risk, and that will always be in the back of his mind.”

Family and Security Concerns Influencing His Decision

Harrold further speculated that Harry’s concerns go beyond just security and could also be influenced by his family ties.

“This is potentially the biggest reason he won’t return,” he explained. “But I think it’s also to do with his family. Since he doesn’t have the same level of protection, I’m sure that plays a part in his decision, and he is worried about any potential assassination attempts on him or his family.”

What’s Next for Prince Harry?

While Prince Harry continues his legal fight for security, his reluctance to return to the UK highlights the deep concerns he has for his safety and well-being. With his case set to be heard in April, the outcome could determine whether he feels safe enough to visit his homeland once again.
