Jason Momoa, famed for his role as Duncan Idaho in Dune, has sparked excitement among fans by teasing the possibility of his return for Dune Part 3.

Momoa’s character in the first Dune film, released in 2021, met a tragic end, and he did not appear in the sequel. However, rumors have been circulating that the Fast X star could reprise his role in Dune: Messiah, the next chapter of the Dune saga.

In a recent conversation with Entertainment Weekly, the actor was asked about his potential involvement in the third Dunemovie. Instead of giving a straight answer, Momoa playfully teased fans, saying, “If you haven’t read the books, it’s not my fault.”

He continued, adding a bit of humor, “Well, I’m not sure if I’m going to get in trouble or not. But it’s the same thing like Game of Thrones, you know what I mean? If you didn’t read the books, it’s not my fault, right?”

Eventually, he couldn’t resist and admitted, “I’m making a comeback. You got me in trouble!” hinting that his character might indeed return in the upcoming film.

Dune Part 3, directed by Denis Villeneuve, will bring back Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Josh Brolin, and Florence Pugh. The much-anticipated sequel is set to release globally on December 16, 2026.

As the Dune universe continues to expand, Momoa’s playful tease has only heightened anticipation for the next installment, with fans eagerly awaiting confirmation of his return to the desert planet of Arrakis.
