Angelina Jolie is reportedly struggling with feelings of loneliness and isolation as her six children grow older and become more independent, sources reveal.
The 48-year-old Maleficent star, known for her deep devotion to motherhood, is said to be experiencing classic symptoms of empty nest syndrome. With some of her children already moving out and others spending more time away, Jolie is finding it difficult to adjust to her changing family dynamic.
According to RadarOnline.com, Jolie recently gave up her New York City apartment to one of her sons, which has since turned into a convenient crash pad for her children during their visits to the city. However, a source shared that Jolie was hurt when one of her children didn’t want to see her, describing it as “a knife in the heart.”

“Angelina would love to move all her children to New York and find a place large enough for everyone,” the source added. “But she can’t make that move for at least two more years, not until the twins, Knox and Vivienne, turn 18.”
The insider explained that Jolie is feeling the emotional toll as her children grow up and create lives of their own. “They’re spending more and more time away, and she’s desperately lonely,” they said.
Throughout the years, Jolie has put her family at the center of her life, especially after her high-profile divorce from Brad Pitt. But with her children no longer needing her in the same way, the actress is reportedly unsure how to navigate this new phase of life.
“Instead of building a new chapter for herself, she focused solely on her children,” another source noted. “Now that they’re moving on, she feels lost.”
Fans have always admired Angelina Jolie for her strength and dedication as a mother. As she faces this new emotional challenge, many are hopeful she’ll find peace, purpose, and a new sense of fulfillment in the next chapter of her life.
