Sean “Diddy” Combs is facing intense scrutiny after shocking details emerged in federal court this week. During the third day of his trial, singer Cassie Ventura provided emotional testimony recounting a violent 2016 incident involving the music mogul — an assault caught on surveillance footage and later released publicly.
According to Ventura, the altercation took place at the InterContinental Hotel in Los Angeles, where Combs allegedly chased her down a hallway, violently attacked her, and kicked her while she lay on the ground. The footage, shared by CNN in 2024, was shown to jurors and has since gone viral, drawing widespread attention to the case.

Now 38 and eight months pregnant with her third child, Ventura testified that hours after the attack, Combs sent her a series of desperate text messages. “I got 6 kids. Please call me,” one message read. “Call me for my kids. Help.” She told the court that he attempted to use his children to evoke sympathy after the assault.
Ventura said she responded by telling him to stay away, stating: “You are sick for doing what you have done.”
Despite suffering visible injuries, Ventura appeared at the Perfect Match premiere just two days later — an event she described as one of the biggest moments of her career. She wore sunglasses to conceal a black eye and had a large bruise on her leg. A concerned friend contacted the police, but Ventura chose not to name Combs at the time, saying, “I wasn’t ready.”
Combs, 55, who has seven children, is currently on trial facing multiple federal charges including racketeering, sex trafficking, and assault. He has pleaded not guilty.
This testimony is part of a broader investigation into allegations of abuse, manipulation, and misconduct involving Combs over the years. The trial is ongoing, with more witnesses expected to take the stand in the coming days.
