The legal case against Sean “Diddy” Combs has taken a dramatic turn as the mother of his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, took the stand with damning allegations during a pivotal moment in the trial.
On Tuesday, May 20, Regina Ventura delivered an emotional testimony, revealing disturbing claims about the rapper and music mogul. According to her, Diddy allegedly demanded a substantial payment after discovering Cassie had been involved in a romantic relationship with rapper Kid Cudi, whose real name is Scott Mescudi.
“It was understood that he was going to need $20,000 to recoup money he had spent on her because he had been angry that she had had a relationship with Scott Mescudi,” Regina testified, as reported by Page Six. “He was angry that he had spent money on her and she had been with another person.”
Regina claimed she and her husband were so fearful that they took out a home equity loan to meet Combs’ alleged demands. “I was scared for my daughter’s safety,” she said, her voice reportedly filled with emotion.
The courtroom heard that Regina had documented signs of abuse after learning of the violence Cassie endured. “As a mother, when I saw what was happening, I took pictures,” she explained. However, Cassie herself admitted she had initially kept the truth from her parents. “I didn’t tell my mom the truth because I was ashamed,” she confessed during her earlier testimony. “But I also felt like at that point I didn’t know what was going to happen.”
Cassie, who previously testified over a span of four consecutive days, shared harrowing details about her experiences with Diddy, including disturbing descriptions of what she called his infamous “Freak Off” parties.
