Kanye West, who now goes by Ye, has publicly shared his thoughts on Kid Cudi’s recent testimony against Sean “Diddy” Combs in the ongoing sex-trafficking trial involving the rap mogul. Following Kid Cudi’s decision to testify as a prosecution witness on May 22, Ye took to his X (formerly Twitter) account to express disappointment over the rapper’s involvement.
In a post dated May 24, Ye wrote, “I wish Cudi hadn’t testified against Puff,” emphasizing his belief that they should avoid being “locked in white systems.” The outspoken artist also sent prayers to Diddy and his family, stating, “Praying for Puff and his family. Praying for Puff Daddy and the Family,” reinforcing his continued support for the jailed record producer.

Kid Cudi, whose real name is Scott Ramon Seguro Mescudi, testified on the ninth day of the trial, which began with jury selection on May 5, 2025. According to reports from Reuters, the rapper accused Diddy of breaking into his home in 2011 after learning about Cudi’s relationship with Casandra Ventura—Diddy’s on-and-off girlfriend at the time.

During his testimony, Kid Cudi also alleged that Sean Combs threatened him and was responsible for a Molotov cocktail attack that damaged his Porsche, intensifying the drama surrounding the federal case.
Currently, Kid Cudi stands as the highest-profile witness to take the stand in this highly publicized trial, which has garnered significant media attention since opening statements on May 12.
Ye’s comments add another layer of complexity to the ongoing legal battle, highlighting the deep divisions and alliances within the music industry as this case unfolds.
