Prince Andrew’s royal downfall is back in headlines as new findings clear rumors about Jeffrey Epstein’s alleged client list and blackmail operations.
After years of speculation and public scrutiny, the FBI and the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) have released a formal memo dismissing long-circulated claims about Jeffrey Epstein’s alleged “client list” and supposed blackmail of high-profile individuals. The memo arrives nearly five years after Prince Andrew’s infamous BBC Newsnight interview, which led to his withdrawal from public royal duties.

FBI & DOJ Memo: No Client List, No Blackmail Evidence
According to reports from Axios and ABC News, the recently published two-page memo outlines the results of an “exhaustive review” of both digital and physical evidence related to the late convicted sex offender.
“This systematic review revealed no incriminating ‘client list.’ There was also no credible evidence found that Epstein blackmailed prominent individuals as part of his actions,” the memo stated.
Furthermore, the memo confirmed that video evidence supports the official conclusion that Epstein died by suicide in a New York City jail cell in August 2019.
Prince Andrew’s Royal Fallout
The findings come years after Prince Andrew, the younger brother of King Charles III, stepped back from his royal duties in November 2019 following his controversial interview with BBC’s Newsnight. In that interview, the Duke of York publicly expressed regret over his ties to Epstein and acknowledged the damage the association caused to his family.

In January 2022, Queen Elizabeth II formally stripped Prince Andrew of all his military titles and royal patronagesafter he attempted to dismiss a civil lawsuit brought against him by Virginia Giuffre.
Andrew denied all allegations of sexual misconduct and ultimately settled the lawsuit out of court in February 2022for an undisclosed amount, without admitting liability.
Tragic Death of Virginia Giuffre
In April 2025, Giuffre’s family released a statement confirming her tragic death by suicide. The family remembered her as a fierce advocate against sexual abuse and trafficking, stating:
“Virginia was the light that lifted so many survivors. Despite all the adversity she faced in her life, she shone so bright… She will be missed beyond measure.”
She is survived by her three children: Christian, Noah, and Emily.
Prince Andrew’s Ongoing Role in Royal Life
Despite no longer serving as a working royal, Prince Andrew, 65, continues to participate in select family events. Most recently, he was seen attending Easter services in April 2025 alongside King Charles, Sarah Ferguson, and other members of the royal family.
With the FBI and DOJ’s final ruling now public, the cloud surrounding Epstein’s rumored blackmail ring appears to have lifted—though questions about royal image, accountability, and legacy still linger for Prince Andrew.
