BTS member Suga has achieved yet another impressive feat with his latest solo release. According to Hanteo Chart, Suga’s solo album, “D-Day,” has sold 1,072,311 copies in its first week of release, making him the second K-pop solo artist with the highest first week sales in Hanteo history.
The rapper had already broken the record for highest first-day sales by a solo album, selling over 1 million copies in just one day after its release on April 21. Suga’s success is only topped by his BTS bandmate Jimin, who broke the record with his recent solo debut album “Face.”
Suga now joins the ranks of other popular K-pop groups like BTS, Blackpink, TXT, Seventeen, NCT 127, NCT Dream, and Stray Kids as the ninth general artist with the best first-week sales.
In addition to his album release, Suga also dropped his first solo documentary on the same day. The film takes fans on a journey with the rapper across several cities and provides a behind-the-scenes look into the making of the album.
This latest achievement is yet another testament to Suga’s immense popularity and talent as an artist. Fans all around the world continue to show their support for the rapper and his music, and it’s clear that Suga’s success is far from slowing down any time soon.
