Selena Gomez has taken a trip down memory lane, reflecting on one of her most beloved songs from the early days of her music career.
The 33-year-old singer and actress, who has released three studio albums, recently shared that her all-time favorite track from her catalogue is “Who Says” from her 2011 album When the Sun Goes Down. The uplifting single reached No. 21 on the Billboard Hot 100 and became an anthem of self-empowerment for fans worldwide.
Speaking on Jake Shane’s Therapuss podcast, the Only Murders in the Building star admitted she would love to re-record the song using her more mature vocals, as the original version features her younger voice.
“It’s the most powerful moment when I get to perform it,” Gomez said, adding, “That’s honestly the only reason I would ever do a tour again… if I could perform ‘Who Says.’ I need to redo it.”
Gomez explained that the track’s inspiring message still resonates with her deeply, and she wants to hear it in a way that reflects her current artistry and growth. The Emilia Perez actress hinted that a reimagined version could breathe new life into the hit more than a decade after its release.
