Hailey Bieber is getting candid about her journey into motherhood, revealing how it’s transformed her both emotionally and personally. In a new interview with the Wall Street Journal, the Rhode Skin founder shared her thoughts on the challenges and rewards of becoming a mother — and how the experience has shaped her sense of self.
“You don’t know what to expect, and I think that’s very hard,” Hailey admitted. She explained that before having a child, many people think, ‘I can’t wait to go back to how things were,’ but that mindset shifts once motherhood begins.
“A lot of the time, there isn’t a going back of sorts,” the 28-year-old reflected. “Once you become a mom, you move forward from there — and that’s a whole other journey in itself.”
Hailey Bieber on Embracing Change Through Motherhood
Hailey, who shares a son named Jack Blues with husband Justin Bieber, revealed that she’s found new strength and confidence through motherhood.
“I like who I am so much more now than I ever did before,” she shared. “I love who I am as a mom, and I like the person I’m becoming and have become through the journey of becoming a mother.”
The model confessed that she once expected life to return to how it used to be, but soon realized there was no going back — only growth. “Becoming a mom has given me a different kind of confidence to be more upfront and say how I really feel,” she explained.
Finding Confidence and Advocacy as a Mother
Hailey also discussed how motherhood has encouraged her to stand up for herself and be more assertive in her personal and professional life. “I don’t have to hold back because you are your child’s advocate,” she said.
She added that motherhood has not only made her a stronger person but also helped her become her own advocate. “It’s helped me speak up more for myself and the things I believe in,” Hailey noted.
