“Well, FaceTime is a wonderful thing,” the 35-year-old actor said with a smile. “And the other rule is that it’s never not worth it — that’s our slogan.”
Turner, who has appeared in acclaimed films like Emma and Fantastic Beasts, explained that even short getaways matter when it comes to maintaining a strong connection. “If you can go for two days, just go,” he advised. “And if you’re tired, it doesn’t matter because you’re going to have a nice time and make a nice memory.”
The British actor, who confirmed his engagement to Dua Lipa in June, also reflected on the meaning of true love. “True love is moments, consistency. It can’t be just one grand, sweeping thing,” Turner shared. “It’s all the little things and big things together — it’s an amalgamation. I think that’s what true love is.”
Discussing how he and Dua first crossed paths, Turner revealed that fate seemed to bring them together after several near misses. “There were maybe two, three, four, five times over the years when we didn’t meet before finally finding each other,” he said. “When we were both finally single, I just thought she was the most beautiful woman in the world.”
The Fantastic Beasts actor even recalled their first real meeting, describing it as something straight out of a movie. “In the movie version of it, I look up to the sky and I’m like, ‘I hear you. I understand.’ The signs are loud, don’t worry. And that was really the first moment.”
