Khloé Kardashian is showing the power of grace and forgiveness as she responds to a public apology from Today show anchor Savannah Guthrie.
The apology stems from a 2012 interview in which Guthrie asked Khloé to address persistent rumors questioning whether Robert Kardashian Sr. — the late ex-husband of Kris Jenner — was actually her father. The moment has long been considered one of the most uncomfortable in Khloé’s early public appearances.

On the October 20 episode of Today, Guthrie, 53, admitted the interview remains one of her most “embarrassing” career moments. She explained that she asked the sensitive question under pressure from producers who encouraged her to pursue the “dishy” topic.

“I asked Khloé Kardashian, like, 10 seconds before we were going to break, about the rumours that her father wasn’t her father,” Guthrie revealed, expressing regret over the awkward on-air exchange.
Khloé, 41, responded to Guthrie’s apology with warmth and understanding on Instagram. “She’s a doll! It takes a big person to take accountability and I just love her!” she wrote on E! News’ Kards Katch Up page, accompanied by heart and crown emojis.
Looking back, Khloé handled the 2012 question with her trademark wit, joking, “I don’t know who my daddy is, I guess.” Guthrie later praised Khloé for being “a total class act” despite the difficult moment.
The topic of her father’s death has always been deeply emotional for Khloé. On her Khloé in Wonderland podcast, she reflected that being “forced” to discuss him during early episodes of Keeping Up with the Kardashians was painful but ultimately liberating. She shared, “It was as if a house got lifted off of me after that conversation,” highlighting how confronting the rumors helped her find personal closure.
Khloé Kardashian’s gracious response demonstrates her ability to rise above past controversies and celebrate accountability, turning an awkward media moment into a lesson in compassion.
