Pamela Anderson is embracing her natural beauty and radiating confidence like never before. The 58-year-old actress and author spoke exclusively with PEOPLE at her Sonsie pop-up event in New York City, opening up about her journey of self-acceptance and authenticity.
Since becoming co-owner of Sonsie, a skincare company promoting mindful beauty, in January 2024, Anderson says her approach to beauty has transformed.
“So much more freeing and so much more confidence,” she shared, reflecting on how the brand’s philosophy has influenced her.
“It’s a choice,” she emphasized at the Soho event on Friday, Oct. 24.
Though Anderson has famously gone makeup-free in recent years, she admits living without makeup isn’t always effortless.

“You do have to work on it. It’s a practice to be confident going out of the house with or without makeup,” she said.
Reflecting on her decision to step away from beauty norms, Anderson explained:
“I just kind of could see something culturally and I thought, ‘I want to jump off the crazy train. I want to be one of the first ones to jump off the crazy train and just peel it back and see what’s going on.’”
Simplicity has its perks.
“I’ve saved a lot of time,” she joked, noting how forgoing daily makeup has made her routine easier and her mindset lighter.
The mother of two, Brandon Thomas, 29, and Dylan Jagger, 27, with ex-husband Tommy Lee, also reflected on how her younger self might have viewed her choice.
“That’s the thing. You look back in hindsight, after having some life experience, you can look back and see yourself. But I mean, I don’t know if I’d give her any advice,” she said.
“If someone told me to do something when I was younger, I wouldn’t have done it. So you just have to kind of find your own inspirations and own reasons.”
Through her commitment to authenticity and self-love, Pamela Anderson continues to redefine beauty standards, showing that true confidence starts from within.
