Prince William is reportedly taking decisive action to prevent inheriting the unresolved issues of the past reign, focusing on evicting Prince Andrew from Royal Lodge before ascending the throne.
Sources reveal that the Prince of Wales is part of advanced talks to end Andrew’s 75-year lease on the lavish 30-room mansion, ensuring that the former Duke of York cannot extend his stay or conduct further personal affairs near the royal family.
According to royal expert Ian Pelham Turner, Andrew is reportedly seeking an undisclosed financial compensationfrom King Charles, likely amounting to millions.
“Prince William will want a watertight agreement that Andrew cannot renege on,” Turner told Fox News Digital.
Andrew is said to be requesting assurances for his daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, allowing them to continue their royal work and charity patronages even if his own titles are removed. Additionally, he hopes for a financial settlement for his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, who lived with him for years after their 1996 divorce and contributed to renovations at Royal Lodge.
Turner added that Andrew wants to continue his personal and business affairs independently, without interference from the royal family. However, given Prince William’s firm stance, it is unlikely that the disgraced former Duke will be granted further freedoms or privileges near Windsor.
