Eva Mendes is setting the record straight regarding recent rumors about relocating to London with her family. On November 3, the actress took to Instagram to refute claims that she and Ryan Gosling had permanently moved overseas with their daughters, Esmeralda, 11, and Amada, 9.
The Daily Mail had reported that the family had settled in North London and enrolled their daughters in local schools. Mendes responded by sharing a screenshot of the article to her Instagram Stories with the caption: “WRONG again @dailymail.”

While Mendes admitted she has enjoyed her time in London, she emphasized that the family plans to return to the U.S. soon. She also expressed her excitement to celebrate the Dodgers’ World Series championship, writing, “Go Dodgers!!!”
The temporary stay in London coincides with Ryan Gosling’s work on the highly anticipated Star Wars film, Star Wars: Starfighter. Director Shawn Levy recently shared a behind-the-scenes photo showing Gosling and co-star Flynn Gray in costume aboard a raised platform resembling a sailing setup in the Mediterranean Sea.
Levy described Starfighter as a “standalone” project, clarifying that it is neither a prequel nor a sequel and is set in an unexplored period within the Star Wars universe. Gosling praised the script for its originality and engaging characters.
The film’s ensemble cast also includes Matt Smith, Mia Goth, Aaron Pierre, Amy Adams, Simon Bird, Jamael Westman, Daniel Ings, and Flynn Gray. Star Wars: Starfighter is scheduled for release on May 28, 2027.
For now, Mendes reassures fans that the family isn’t making a permanent move abroad; they are simply enjoying their time together in London while Gosling films, with plans to return home afterward.
