Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have chosen to leave the United States for a Canadian getaway just days ahead of King Charles III and Queen Camilla’s upcoming state visit to the US.
According to People magazine, Olympic gold medalist Eileen Gu shared a photo of herself on a ski lift with Harry and former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, captioning it, “This week!!”

Reports note that Harry and Trudeau are longtime friends. Trudeau previously appeared at the Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025, where the two were seen laughing and chatting during an indoor rowing event. Trudeau also delivered remarks at the Closing Ceremony of the Games.
Meanwhile, Prince Harry hit the slopes with his son Prince Archie, while Meghan shared a video on social media, writing, “My boys. Quick learner, Archie! So proud,” followed by a heart emoji.
The couple, along with Lilibet Mountbatten-Windsor, arrived in Canada just days before King Charles III and Queen Camilla’s state visit to the United States. The palace had announced that the visit, at the invitation of the US President, will include King Charles addressing a joint session of Congress on April 28, 2026.
