The posts, shared by Meghan to mark Easter, featured Princess Archie Mountbatten-Windsor and Princess Lilibet Mountbatten-Windsor during festive activities, accompanied by a “Happy Easter!” message to fans.

Criticism From Royal Experts

Speaking with Mark Dolan, royal biographer Duncan Larkham questioned the couple’s approach, pointing out that despite advocating for privacy and caution about social media’s impact on children, they continue to post content featuring their own family.

“They are a couple of cake and eat it, aren’t they?” Larkham said. “I mean, they agreed to move out of the UK on conditions they weren’t going to be royals anymore. And yet they do go on royal tours to Australia and Jordan, and it’s all about self-promotion.”

Dolan noted, “Harry and Meghan can’t have it both ways, can they? They can’t talk about their privacy and then put kids on Instagram.”

Larkham added, “It is double standards. They argue about their privacy and then use their own children to get publicity. It’s like trying to fit a triangle into a square peg.”

The Instagram Posts in Question

While Meghan reportedly avoids showing their faces directly, opting instead for clips where the children’s backs are visible, Larkham questioned the effectiveness of this approach. “We saw images of them running on an Easter egg hunt where you only saw the backs of them. But even so, does that make a lot of difference? I’m not sure it does,” he said.

The discussion highlights the ongoing tension between the Sussexes’ advocacy for privacy and their public presence, particularly on social media, which continues to draw attention from both fans and critics alike.
