On Wednesday, Mateusz Morawiecki, the Poland’s prime minister branded the China-Russian partnership “dangerous” after Chinese President Xi Jinping covered up a three-day visit to Russia.

Mateusz Morawiecki told reporters after hosting Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida in Warsaw.
Xi departed Russia on Wednesday following a summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin that praised a “new era” in their connections, putting on a display of unity against the West. Putin and Xi debated the war in Ukraine, but their discussions ended with no alleged signal of a breakthrough on how to end the fighting.
Putin hailed China’s 12-point position paper on the battle, which includes a call for discussion and respect for all countries’ territorial sovereignty. But Poland raised alarm about the expanded cooperation between China and Russia.
We are trying to convince China not to support Russia in its aggressive international policy.”
Morawiecki told reporters.
Kishida reached Poland from neighboring Ukraine, where he visited Kyiv and Bucha, a nearby town where Russian forces were accused of committing horrors last year.
Kishida praised Poland for helping the war-torn country and said he conveyed “the unwavering solidarity of Japan and the G7” to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
He noted Poland’s “increasing burden” in helping Ukraine as the cause for new Japanese assistance to Warsaw, without specifying the support.
