Lacing up for the upcoming tournament, Asia Cup 2023, where the team India will take part, the Indian middle-order batsman successfully passed the Yo-Yo test.

The Indian batter shared a photo of him on Instagram, right after the fitness test. With the photo, Kohli also showed his Yo-Yo test score, in which he scored 17.2. As per reports, the BCCI requires at least a score of 16.5 from its players in Yo-Yo tests. Kohli is happily quite ahead of the required score.

Earlier, it was informed that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has contained a preparatory camp in Bengaluru for players ahead of the beginning of the Asia Cup. While few players have already joined the camp, those who were playing in the T20I series against Ireland will join on August 25.

Rahul Dravid, the head coach of India, and other members of the coaching staff are expected to join the team at the NCA for the camp.

The Indian team will begin their Asia Cup campaign on September 2 against arch-rival Pakistan.
