The gavel has come down on “All Rise,” as the popular legal drama series bids farewell after its third season. The announcement of the show’s closure was recently made, signaling the end of its courtroom storytelling on OWN.

The final chapter of Season 3, comprising the last 10 episodes in the 3B segment, is set to premiere on OWN on Saturday, September 16, at 9 p.m. This confirmation marks the official end of the series, as hopes for a fourth season have been quashed.

Simone Missick, who not only stars in the show but also serves as an executive producer, has been a central figure in the “All Rise” journey. Her character, Judge Lola Carmichael, has been a driving force in the series’ exploration of legal matters and personal growth.

Tina Perry, President of OWN, shared her sentiments regarding the show’s impact: “We are extremely proud of the positive impact ‘All Rise’ has made in showcasing strong, accomplished Black female characters.” She expressed gratitude to the entire cast and crew for their dedication to the series.

The series, known for its realistic portrayal of the legal system, follows the lives of those intertwined within the bustling courtrooms of Los Angeles. The drama is heightened by the aftermath of a high-profile case, which leaves the courthouse in disarray and lives hanging in the balance.

Among the ensemble cast are individuals such as Wilson Bethel, who portrays Deputy District Attorney “Mark Callan,” Jessica Camacho in the role of “Emily Lopez,” J. Alex Brinson embodying “Luke Watkins,” Ruthie Ann Miles as the legal assistant ‘Sherri Kansky,’ and Lindsay Mendez taking on the character of victim advocate “Sara Castillo,” and more. Each cast member has played a significant role in enhancing the show’s intricate storytelling and genuine portrayal.

“All Rise” has been recognized for its storytelling prowess, receiving nominations at the Black Reel Awards for Television in 2020 and the NAACP Image Awards in 2021 for Outstanding Drama Series. Missick herself has garnered acclaim, earning nominations for Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series at both awards ceremonies.

As the series concludes its compelling journey, fans can look forward to witnessing the final episodes that will tie up loose ends and bring closure to the characters’ storylines. “All Rise” has not only entertained but has also shed light on the complexities of the legal system and the individuals who navigate it.
