Angelina Jolie is reportedly preparing to leave Hollywood and start a new chapter overseas. The actress is said to be waiting for her youngest children, 16-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne, to turn 18 before leaving Los Angeles with her other kids—Maddox (23), Pax (20), Zahara (19), and Shiloh (18).
A source revealed that Jolie has been quietly “planning her escape” while spending time in New York working on the Broadway production of The Outsiders.
“She was happiest when she and the children traveled and lived in various locations, soaking up the culture, learning from local tutors, and experiencing different ways of life,” the insider told In Touch.
The Tourist star reportedly has a network of friends in Europe, making it an ideal destination for her next phase of life. “She’s a very solitary person, but she actually has friends in Europe, so it will be easier for her to travel around,” the source explained.
Jolie’s priority remains her children’s happiness and independence. “She wants the children to follow their passions and go wherever they like. And of course, they were all born outside the U.S. — even her biological kids,” the source added.
In a recent interview, Jolie hinted at her longing to leave the U.S., expressing concerns about privacy and safety. “When you have a big family, you want them to have privacy, peace, safety. I have a house now to raise my children, but sometimes this place can be… that humanity that I found across the world is not what I grew up with here,” she shared.
Jolie’s contentious divorce from Brad Pitt has reportedly been a significant factor in her desire to relocate. The long-running legal battle has only fueled her resolve to find a fresh start away from Hollywood and the United States.
As she plans her move, Jolie’s decision underscores her commitment to creating a peaceful and fulfilling life for herself and her family.
