Ariana Grande, the celebrated singer of hits like “Thank U, Next,” unveiled her latest tattoo back in September, and it has quickly become her favorite piece of ink. This meaningful tattoo pays homage to her role as Glinda the Good Witch in the highly-anticipated film adaptation of the Broadway sensation, “Wicked.”
The 30-year-old pop sensation, known for her extensive collection of tattoos, couldn’t be prouder of this recent addition. London-based tattoo artist Diogo Rodrigues had the privilege of creating this artwork for Grande. He took to his Instagram account to share a close-up of the tattoo and express his gratitude to Ariana for trusting him with this creative endeavor.
In response to Rodrigues’ post, Ariana Grande showered praise on the artist’s work and affectionately labeled the tattoo as her favorite. In a heartfelt message, she conveyed, “She’s my favorite. Thank YOU so much [heart emoji].”
The “Into You” songstress had long harbored the desire to get this particular tattoo, and she spoke about her connection to it in an interview with Allure Magazine. She revealed, “This one I knew I wanted to get for a very long time. It’s Glinda from the original L. Frank Baum book. I waited forever to fill up this hand. And I thought, ‘I’m gonna wait for the right thing to come along,’ and yeah, that felt very right.”
Ariana Grande’s tattoo collection comprises over 40 distinct designs, each holding a unique significance. Her tattoos range from heartfelt tributes to her cherished dogs to celestial motifs, references to the world of Harry Potter, and lyrics from her own songs. Each tattoo reflects her individuality, creativity, and the stories that have shaped her life and career.
