Blake Lively Set to Testify in Legal Battle Against ‘It Ends With Us’ Director Justin Baldoni

Blake Lively’s legal feud with It Ends With Us director Justin Baldoni continues to escalate as new court documents confirm the actress is scheduled to be deposed on July 17, 2025.

According to records obtained by People magazine on July 7, Lively’s deposition was confirmed after her legal team served subpoenas to two publicists with connections to Baldoni. The move prompted the publicists’ attorney to request an extension for submitting related documents, during which the deposition date was disclosed via email.

This marks a significant development in the ongoing legal case that began when Lively filed a complaint in December 2024, accusing Baldoni of sexual harassment, creating a hostile work environment, and attempting a smear campaign against her.

In response, Baldoni denied all allegations and countersued Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and her longtime publicist for $400 million. That countersuit, however, was dismissed in June 2025.

Despite the dismissal, the courtroom battle is far from over. Both parties are expected to testify during a full trial scheduled for March 2026 in New York.

Baldoni’s attorney, Bryan Freedman, previously told TMZ Live on June 10 that he plans to question Lively under oath. “We have all the video tape, the footage, the text messages, and emails. I’ll be asking her questions under penalty of perjury, and we’ll see how her testimony aligns with the facts,” he stated.

The legal dispute has drawn intense public and media attention, not only due to the high-profile names involved but also because of the serious nature of the accusations. While Lively has remained mostly silent in the public eye, her upcoming deposition could shed more light on the behind-the-scenes tensions of the film’s production.

As the entertainment world watches closely, this legal showdown between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni is shaping up to be one of the most closely followed celebrity court battles in recent years.
