The entertainment world was shaken when news broke that Matthew Perry, famous for his role as Chandler Bing in the beloved TV series “Friends,” had tragically passed away at his home. The iconic actor, known for his sarcastic humor and infectious smile, left behind a legacy that touched the hearts of millions.

BTS’s RM, a prominent member of the South Korean boy band, joined the multitude of fans worldwide in paying tribute to the late actor. RM took to his Instagram account to share a touching black-and-white photograph of Matthew Perry, capturing the essence of his character on “Friends.”

In “Friends,” Perry’s portrayal of Chandler Bing, with his witty one-liners and unique charm, endeared him to audiences for a decade. He shared the screen with a star-studded cast, including Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc, and Lisa Kudrow. His contributions to the show’s humor and heart are forever etched in the memories of viewers.

RM’s connection to Matthew Perry and “Friends” runs deep. He once revealed on James Corden’s talk show that Chandler Bing was his favorite character on the sitcom. What makes this connection even more remarkable is that RM credited “Friends” with helping him learn English. During a memorable appearance on James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke segment, RM explained that he started by watching the show with English subtitles, then progressed to watching it with Korean subtitles, and eventually watched it without any subtitles. This dedication to improving his English through the show exemplified the global impact of “Friends.”

Matthew Perry’s untimely passing was a shock to fans worldwide. He was found unresponsive in his Los Angeles home, having drowned in his jacuzzi. His assistant immediately called 911, but, tragically, help arrived too late. Despite the sudden and tragic nature of his death, there have been no indications of foul play or the presence of drugs at the scene.

Matthew Perry’s remarkable talent and the indelible mark he left on the world through his portrayal of Chandler Bing will always be remembered. The heartfelt tribute paid by BTS’s RM serves as a testament to the enduring impact of both the actor and the iconic TV show that brought joy and laughter to countless lives.
