BTS’s RM Pens Heartfelt Farewell Letter to Fans as He Embarks on Military Service

As the day arrives for BTS’s RM to commence his military service on December 11, the esteemed artist has shared a poignant farewell message with his fans. In a heartfelt note posted on Weverse, the 29-year-old singer conveyed the depth of his emotions, revealing the weight on his heart during this significant juncture.

Opening his message with, “Hello, my dear friends, that day has finally come,” RM, also known as Kim Namjoon, expressed the challenge of putting into words the multitude of thoughts circulating in his mind at this momentous occasion.

RM extended his gratitude for the extraordinary journey he has had as a member of BTS for the past ten years. “I’ve been saying this all along, but the end is just another beginning! I have no doubt that something good will be waiting for us once we pass,” he shared, embracing the optimism that lies beyond this chapter.

In his message, RM cherished the profound love he has received from the dedicated BTS ARMY, acknowledging, “It may be my job, but it’s probably your love.” Reflecting on the potential loneliness that comes with being remembered and awaited by others, he expressed feeling already encompassed by that love.

Anticipating his return, the Butter singer promised to come back with a radiant smile and even more love. RM concluded his heartfelt note with hope and optimism, stating, “When I return, I’ll say hello again so that we can be ourselves wherever and whenever we are! See you in the future. I love you so much. Hoping to reach you even a little. – Namjoon.”

As RM embarks on his military journey, undergoing basic training at the New Recruit Training Center in Nonsan, he joins V, Jungkook, and Jimin in serving as active-duty soldiers for the next 18 months. The BTS fandom awaits his return with anticipation and unwavering support.
