Selena Gomez, the popular singer, stepped onto the pink carpet at the 2023 MTV VMAs in bold style, wearing a barely there beaded dress by Oscar de la Renta.
Her flowery halter dress had a deep neckline and a skirt made from beaded flowering vines — with a thigh-high slit left open in the front. Gomez dressed up with corresponding red heels and earrings.
The actress held her glam simple, picking an unbiased eye and lip shade that fitted. She sported her hair down and straight, parted in the center. With a dress as eye-catching as this one, you don’t need to add anything else to your look.
The makeup artist of Gomez, Hung Vanngo shared an Instagram Reel of the star strutting the hallway before the VMAs to reveal her glance — even offering a piece of a twirl to show just how much whirl the dress has.
The star’s look was set together by her new stylist Erin Walsh — who also works with the likes of Anne Hathaway and Ashley Park. Her nails were done by nail artist Tom Bachik, who called the look Golden Glazed Fire Mani. The entire look was drawn together by hairstylist Anh Co Tran, who also shared the video and merely captioned it, “Red hot.”
Selena Gomez is up for three VMAs on Tuesday night, all for “Calm Down,” her collab with Rema.
Gomez’s arrival at the VMAs comes on the heels of the release of her latest song “Single Soon” on Aug. 25. It also marks the Rare Beauty founder’s first red carpet since January’s Golden Globe Awards, where she wore a sultry Valentino gown — and carried her little sister, Gracie, as her date.
